In the Distance (Hernan Diaz)

Diaz’s Trust was one of the my favorite books of 2023. I came across the fact that he has another coming out this year and in that discovery, stumbled across the existence of this absolute gem. It’s a Western, for sure, and a character study. Writing you can lose time in. If you also read Train Dreams, there are some echos in a great way. This is my kind of beach (or in my case pool) read.
