The White Album: Essays

I love Joan Didion’s writing. I know myself and I know my tastes and sensibilities would have had similar reactions to the zeitgeist of the 60s and 70s. I’m still in my chronological read through of all her work that I started last summer.This was a reread and it’s still excellent. Her take down of the pointless and tacky Reagan governors’ mansion is a national treasure.
